First of all, I would like to say thank you to my homestay for having such a great idea of organizinga party in their house and for their hard work for this party.

It was a lovely day with nice warm weather. The entire ELTO group came to my host family’s house with their wonderful food and feeling of excitement. It was an International lunch; there were plenty of different foods on the table. I can say it was a first; to have our own party since we had been in Napier. We were looking forward to having such an opportunity. That day we played a lot of funny games, and we enjoyed every moment. Interestingly, all of us gave performances and as a member of my host family, I automatically became the MC of this party. I was not only MC but I was also a performer. However, my performance seemed a bit tricky, it surprised everybody. I asked them “Can you do like this?” (this performance which only a Kung fu expert can do). Everybody said, “No I can’t” and they waited for my performance with excitment. Surprisingly, I said, “I can’t do it, either” and everyone laughed for a long time. Then we all watched with interest when Anousak and Mai played musical chairs. Anousak now knows how strong Mai is!

After we had finished playing games we went out for hill climbing, just close to my host family’s house. From that hill, we had a magnificent view of Napier.
We did many things that day, eating, playing games, giving performances and playing sport.

“I love your homestay family. They are very kind and generous. They have arranged many things for us, for example many kinds of interesting games as well as food and drink. They even taught us the haka. Moreover, I really love to see you and your homestay sing a song together, you look like their son”, said Thu Ha Ta, an ELTO student from Vietnam.
