With a theme of “governance and security” the latest arrivals on the ELTO programme are expected to be easy to look after.

“We have officials from Police, Immigration, Customs and Defence,  as well as Foreign Affairs, in this  intake, from Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and  Vietnam,” said ELTO Programme Manager Hilary Watson.

“They are looking forward to learning about how New Zealand works in these areas and I am sure New Zealand can learn from them.”

The group of 27 (Intake 32 in the ELTO Programme) arrived in New Zealand on 25 January and after four days in Wellington, split into two and began their studies at Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology and the Eastern Institute of Technology. They will return to study at Victoria University of Wellington in March.
