Amazing Race depends on good teamwork

Working together is the fun part of Amazing Race
Working together is the fun part of Amazing Race
Three ELTOs from Vietnam, Mai Tung Long, Tran Van Thang and Do Huy Duong recently enjoyed an Amazing Race held by the Student Association of Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) in Nelson.

It was strange to us because it was the first time we had played this game. We went to a bar and were introduced to the game rules.

The first envelope asked us to take an ice-cream to NMIT and persuade someone to accept our ice-cream. We met a waiter outside the student centre and she gave us the second envelope. It said we had to drink water with a soft biscuit that was used as a straw. My friends made their effort to finish quickly. The waiter gave us the third envelope that directed us to go to a book shop in Trafalgar St. We had to find a book named “Horse Colour Explained” and collected the fourth envelope inside the book. We went to an Indian Restaurant in Hardy St and received the fifth envelope. The fifth envelope guided us to go to the Church at the end of Trafalgar St. A waiter gave us an egg and spoon and asked us to look for a big green monster. The monster led us to jog around the church. We met the waiter again to return the egg and spoon and collected the sixth envelope – the last envelope.

We had to go to a main street to look for a woman who had just got out of the shower. There were two jigsaw puzzle pieces in every envelope. We completed our jigsaw puzzles. It was a beautiful sport picture.

This game is a good chance for everyone to work together.
